Lakshmi Srihitha Thirakala is a second-year Biology major at The Ohio State University. She is interested in understanding how genetic changes affect brain aging and neurodegenerative diseases, particularly how cells in the brain process and recycle proteins. She is excited to gain hands-on research experience and contribute to the lab’s work. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, reading books, and spending time with her dog.
